At Grove, we believe that lessons outside the classroom can be as important as those taught in the classroom. A robust student life provides enriching school experiences that create lasting friendships along with a love of service for the Lord.
There are multiple opportunities throughout the school year to enjoy fellowship and fun with students, faculty and school families.
See You At The Pole
See You At the Pole is held the fourth Wednesday in September. On this morning, our students, teachers, church members, as well as community friends, are invited to meet at the flag pole and pray together.
WeServe
Acts 1:8 reminds us that ministry begins at home, moves to our backyard, and then continues around the world. Service allows students to explore and discover the gifts and talents with which God has equipped each of them. Our prayer is that our students will choose to serve, not out of obligation, but out of a true heart that loves God.
This is why we have created WeServe Day in May 2017…a celebration of service together where students, parents, faculty, and community members stand shoulder-to-shoulder to serve together in Jesus’ name. Service is not for one day alone, however. As a Leadership Academy for Christ, we recognize that we cannot be leaders if we can’t be servants. For leadership to be a part of our DNA for the Kingdom, service must be a part of our day-to-day activity and also be part of our DNA. In that vein, 2019-20 saw WeServe expand. Now, rather than a single event, WeServe has grown into a series of service events customized for each grade level and occurring more than once a month throughout the school year.
WeStand:
Upper school students from local Christian schools meet together at Grove to pray and fellowship together. The goal is not to be divided by schools, but rather to be united in our love for Christ.
This is one of many student run events at Grove that allows students to assume roles of leadership and partnership with the focus on honoring God.
