We all like to be in control, but sometimes we should learn to follow and obey first. This is what happened to God’s people when they tried to take control away from God throughout the books of Judges and 1 Samuel. In this camp, children will learn about the importance of putting God in charge of their lives and obeying Him always. Through Bible teaching and worship, reading and math centers, structured playtime, and hands-on learning on various instruments, campers will explore the importance of obedience and submission to God’s authority.

After discussing the challenges for the people of Israel, campers will take turns giving and following directions through repeated rhythms, melodies, and tempos. Campers will learn basic music notation and practice reading written guidelines in music. Campers will work together to create written music and utilize various instruments to practice and perform their own compositions. This camp is ideal for children who like to be in charge, children who enjoy listening, singing, and tapping their feet, and children who are excited to try something new and create their own piece of music!
